Finally, after two years of social distancing, the first “Axel Springer Summer Festival” took place on June 28th. The Location, a mix of industrial architecture and modernity, was blazed with sparkling lights and a rainbow colored – true to the anthem of the night: We strengthen free decisions!

More than 3,000 guests from Berlin, Hamburg and even the USA celebrated with summer temperatures right next to the Spree river.
Electro-pop DJ Jan Blomqvist trembled the sand dance floor with his vocals next to music allrounder Smudo that ensured the right open-air atmosphere.
But what would a true Berlin party be without a beloved Späti? You guessed it right – we had one of those too at an indoor location. Here hungry people could fill their pockets with something sweet or savory – and move straight out the back door onto the nearest dance floor.
From dancing behind the Späti into the magical morning hours, Ladenzeilers didn’t have to wait long for the next get together. Just one week later, we cheered into our Ladenzeile Summer Party and celebrated yet another occasion together.
We were aiming up high, enjoying the breathtaking roof terrace on top of our office building at Axel Springer Neubau. For us, this is one of the most beautiful spots in Berlin! We both entered and ended the evening with a unique panorama view over Berlin and inspiring conversations with colleagues. No matter if you preferred the deliciously catered food, the freshly prepared cocktails from the container bar or a special Berlin ice cream in a beach chair – one thing was sure. That was the true taste of summer!
We are already looking forward to our next celebration!
