Concept of the active recipients
According to Article 24(2) of the Digital Services Act (“DSA”), online platform providers are obliged to publish information every six months on the number of average monthly active recipients of their service in the European Union (EU) in a publicly accessible area of their online interface. This is to determine whether an online platform is a “very large online platform” (VLOP) that reaches an average of at least 45 million monthly active users in the EU. VLOPs are subject to increased regulation under the DSA due to the immense impact they have on content distribution in the EU.
Information on active monthly recipients of our online platform
In compliance with Recital 77 of the DSA, we have determined the average number of monthly active recipients for our platforms in the EU from August 1, 2022 to January 31, 2023. The findings indicate that the monthly active unique recipients of our product comparison are both well below 45 million users.
We will regularly review our statistics and publish updated information later in 2023
